Privacy policy.
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the directory. This document explains exactly what we collect, who sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.

In this policy
1. What we collect
We collect information in three ways:
Form submissions
When you submit a request through any form on this site, including the provider match request form, the guide request form, and the community review submission form, we collect the fields you fill in. Typically: name, email address, company name, phone number (optional), and the answers to any qualifying questions in the form.
We do not collect payment information. This site does not process payments.
Community reviews
If you submit a review of a sales training provider, we collect your name, email address, current employer, job title, and the content of your review. We also store proof of employment or engagement if you provide it for identity verification.
Basic analytics
We collect standard web analytics: page views, approximate geographic location (country and city level), referring URL, browser type, and device type. We do not track individual visitors across sessions or across other websites. We do not use fingerprinting.
2. How we use it
- Match requests. We pass your stated requirements to the providers you consent to be contacted by. We do not share your contact information with any provider without your explicit opt-in during the form flow.
- Guide delivery. We use your email address to send the requested guide. If you opt in to the newsletter at the time of request, we send occasional editorial updates. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.
- Community reviews. We use your submission to moderate and potentially publish a review on the relevant provider profile. We display your first name, job title, and a date. We do not display your email address or employer name without your consent.
- Analytics. We use aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful and where the site has gaps. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.
We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
Running this site requires third-party infrastructure. The services below have access to some or all of the data described above, subject to their own privacy policies.
| Service | Purpose | Data access |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Web hosting and delivery infrastructure | Server-level access logs (IP addresses, request metadata). Vercel does not receive form content. |
| Sanity | Content management system for provider profiles and editorial content | No personally identifiable visitor data. Stores directory content only. |
| Supabase | Database for form submissions, review drafts, and submitted reviews | Stores form submissions and review data. Access is restricted to the directory operator. |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery (guide PDFs, review confirmations, match handoffs) | Receives email address and the content of the email being sent. Resend stores sending logs for 30 days. |
| Anthropic | Powers the Ava recommendation assistant | Receives the text of your conversation with Ava. Anthropic's data handling for API calls is governed by their privacy policy. We do not send your name or contact information to Anthropic. |
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies for two purposes: session management (keeping your form progress saved across page loads) and basic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
If you have a browser set to reject all cookies, the site remains fully usable. The guide request form uses localStorage to save your progress, which is a browser-side mechanism we do not have access to.
5. How long we keep it
- Form submissions and match requests. We retain these for 24 months from the date of submission, then delete them from our database.
- Community reviews. Published reviews are retained indefinitely as part of the editorial record. Unpublished drafts are deleted after 90 days of inactivity. If a published review is removed at a reviewer's request, we also delete the underlying submission record.
- Analytics data. Aggregate analytics are retained for 24 months. No individual-level analytics records are retained beyond the current session.
- Email send logs. Resend retains sending logs for 30 days. We do not retain a separate copy.
6. Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, and to withdraw consent for communications at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know the categories of personal information collected and the right to opt out of sale (which, for clarity, we do not engage in).
7. How to request deletion
Email editorial@bestsalesteamtraining.com with the subject line "Data deletion request" and your name and email address. We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
If you submitted a community review and want it removed, include the URL of the provider profile and the approximate date of submission. We will remove the published review and delete the submission record.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Substantive changes that affect your rights will be noted in the Editorial independence change log.
