Built by two operators who tell you who they are.
Choosing who develops your sales team is one of the highest-stakes, least-transparent decisions a leader makes. A great choice compounds for years. A bad one burns a budget, a year, and a team's belief that training works. We built this site to make that choice clear.
The founders
Two decades building sales systems for founder-led and private-equity-backed companies. Owner of the Sandler training franchise in Miami, Vistage Chair, and architect of the Performance Edge sales acceleration practice. His clients have generated over three billion dollars in revenue and more than six billion in exits.
"I have sat on the seller's side of this purchase for twenty years. I built this site to give buyers the comparison I always wished they had."
A three-time exit executive who has built revenue teams inside private-equity-backed SaaS, fintech, and technology companies that exited for more than five hundred million dollars. Founder of Swanston Growth Advisors and a Certified Partner of Objective Management Group, the most validated sales-specific assessment platform available.
"Most sales problems are diagnosed wrong before they are trained wrong. The fix starts with seeing clearly, which is what this directory is for."
What we own, plainly
Most directories in this market are anonymous, and most claim a neutrality they cannot prove. We have taken the opposite position. We are participants in the market we cover, and we disclose it everywhere it matters.
- bestsalesteamtraining.com is owned jointly by Carlos Garrido and Steve Swanston.
- Revenue Bench (sales and sales leadership recruitment) is owned jointly by Carlos and Steve.
- Performance Edge (sales training, coaching, and GTM advisory) is Carlos's firm.
- Swanston Growth Advisors (sales talent assessment and leadership coaching) is Steve's firm.
- Sandler Miami: Carlos owns and operates the Sandler training franchise in Miami. Sandler appears in this directory.
All of these firms appear on this site. Wherever they appear, they are labeled as ours. None of them receives a hidden advantage in the rankings, and the section below explains how that works in practice.
Why trust a directory its owners compete in?
Because the bias you can see is safer than the bias you cannot. Every comparison site makes money somehow, and most hide how. We state ours plainly: if you conclude that one of our firms fits your team, we would love to work with you, and if a competitor fits better, this site will tell you so. That is not generosity, it is the deal we made to earn the right to be read. The method below is how we hold ourselves to it.
Identical depth for every provider.
Every provider profile uses the same template and the same fields. Strengths and weaknesses source from public reviews and industry critique, applied identically to our firms and to their competitors.
Match by fit, with the method published.
The Match Score algorithm ranks by how well a provider fits your team size, needs, and stage. The How We Rank page documents it in plain language. Our own firms never appear in a shortlist together, and never displace a better-fitting competitor.
Owned firms are always labeled.
Performance Edge, Swanston Growth Advisors, and Revenue Bench appear under an "Our firms" label, never as paid strangers. The one true third-party partner on the site, HubSpot, is labeled as a partner.
Trust the buyer.
You are smart, busy, and skeptical. We give you the comparison and get out of the way. No marketing language, no fake scarcity, no "limited time" anything.
Sources beat opinion.
Every research file behind a provider profile is cited. All 49 review aggregates are verified against G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, Gartner, and TrustRadius. Where a claim cannot be verified, we say so rather than smooth it over.
Reviews are never seeded.
Every community review is identity-verified, attributed, and moderated before it publishes. Reviews of our own firms get extra moderation, not less. We launched with zero seeded reviews and we keep it that way.
What we cover
The directory covers six service types relevant to the modern growth company:
- Sales team training. Classroom and reinforcement programs that teach a methodology to individual contributors.
- Sales team coaching. Ongoing manager-and-seller coaching engagements.
- Combined training and coaching. The most common engagement shape, where a single provider handles both.
- Sales leader development. Frontline manager and senior sales leadership programs.
- Fractional sales leadership. On-demand VP Sales or sales manager engagements for companies that need leadership process built alongside the selling process.
- AI implementation for sales teams. Advisory and consulting on AI tools deployed inside an existing sales motion.
In June 2026 we added a dedicated Private Equity zone: research, playbooks, and diagnostics for operating partners, portfolio CEOs, and the sales leaders they hire.
How we choose providers
Tier A providers in the directory are vetted against five criteria. Years in operation, published client roster, third-party recognition (Training Industry Top 20, Selling Power Top, Inc. 5000, Stevie Awards), credible methodology, and at least one of the following: significant geographic delivery footprint or a clear vertical specialism.
Providers without sufficient public signal to verify these criteria are listed as Tier B. The list is reviewed quarterly. Providers can be promoted based on improved public signal, or removed based on credible negative reviews we cannot adequately disclose.
If you are a provider who believes the directory should include you, or you spot a factual error in your profile, please contact us. We respond to every message within five business days. Being a competitor of our firms is not a factor; most providers listed here compete with us every week.
What this directory is not
This is not a lead-generation marketplace where you fill out a form and get bombarded by ten providers. We send your contact information only to the provider you choose to contact, and only when you actively initiate that contact. We do not sell or resell contact data.
It is also not a brochure for our own firms wearing a costume. If the Match Score, the guides, or Ava point you to a competitor, that is the system working as designed.
A small note on the bot
Ava, the concierge on the homepage and the Get Matched page, is an AI built on the Anthropic Claude API. She runs the Match Score algorithm and answers questions about the directory and the providers. If you ask Ava who owns this site, she will tell you: Carlos Garrido and Steve Swanston, and she will point you to this page for the full disclosure.
